Follow our step-by-step instructions to activate your Spain eSIM in minutes. Works on all compatible iPhones, Samsung Galaxy, and Google Pixel devices.
Before You Begin: Pre-Installation Checklist
Make sure you have everything ready before starting the eSIM installation process.
- Your device is eSIM compatible — check our compatibility list
- Your device is carrier-unlocked (not locked to a specific carrier)
- You have a stable Wi-Fi connection available
- You have your eSIM QR code ready (received via email after purchase)
- You are running the latest OS version (recommended for best compatibility)
Pro Tip: We recommend installing your eSIM before departing for Spain. You can install it at home over Wi-Fi and activate mobile data when you arrive — that way you are connected the moment you land.

Troubleshooting: Common eSIM Installation Issues
Running into problems? Here are solutions to the most common eSIM issues our customers encounter.
QR code will not scan or shows an error
- Make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection — eSIM downloads require internet access.
- Try the manual entry method instead (enter SM-DP+ address and activation code).
- Check that the QR code image is not damaged or blurry — try zooming in or opening it on a different screen.
- Verify you have not already used this QR code. Each QR code is single-use.
eSIM installed but no signal or no data
- Confirm the eSIM is set as your active data line.
- Restart your phone — this often resolves connectivity issues after installation.
- Verify you are in a coverage area.
- Wait 2–5 minutes after arrival for network registration to complete.
“Cannot Add Cellular Plan” error on iPhone
- Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
- Restart your device and try again.
- Reset network settings: go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset Network Settings.
- Try the installation again after the reset.
eSIM not showing in settings after installation
- Restart your device — the eSIM line sometimes appears only after a reboot.
- Check Settings > Cellular (iOS) or Settings > Connections > SIM Manager (Samsung).
- If still missing, the download may have failed. Try reinstalling using a fresh QR code.
Data is very slow or keeps disconnecting
- Verify your APN settings are correct (see the APN table above).
- Toggle Airplane Mode on and off to force a network re-registration.
- Try resetting network settings on your device.
- Move to an area with better cellular coverage.
- If the issue persists, contact our support team for assistance.
